I write quite often on how to properly SEO a website and where and how to build links appropriately, ethically, and at places which are helpful. Now this is a very blatant form of black hat seo and surprisingly not harmful for the sites they are linking to. One form of black hat SEO is cloaking keywords by coloring them the same color as the websites background. When someone is doing this usually they will fill every blank space on the page with keywords in the h1 tag and once Google recognizes that the color is the same or extremely close to the background they will usually delist the site.

Another form of Black Hat SEO is getting involved with link schemes. These will usually show in the form of pyramid style formats where you put your link into the system then place a code on your website which will place links automatically on your website. The big problem with this is you have no clue what URL?s are going to be placed on your website and even though where your backlinks don?t matter where the links are going out does. If you place an abundance of links on your website which are towards crappy no PR non relevant sites then you should expect to go down in the SERPs. Remember when it comes to SEO and link building it does not matter who links to you, but rather who you decide to link to so pick what you put on your site carefully since it will reflect the value of your site.
